Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer was founded in 1953. It has worked on many different justice causes.
It worked to obtain fair housing for all people in the 1950's and 1960's in the Carmichael/Sacramento area around the church.
The congregation voted to become a RIC (Reconciling In Christ) church in 1989.
Through our weekly monetary givings we support; Loaves & Fishes, Habitat for Humanity, The Belfry in Davis, Avalon House, Lutheran Lesbian & Gay Ministries, Lutheran Social Services, ELCA World Hunger, Heifer Project, and Interfaith Power & Light.
